I am so excited to share Lanie’s one year session and cake smash! I love being a Brandon family photographer and documenting such special milestones.
Lanie’s Cake Smash
This one year session took place in my home studio in Brandon, Mississippi. One way I get to set myself apart as a Brandon family photographer is having the opportunity to offer a wardrobe for mom and kids. At our session, mom wore a gorgeous dress from our exclusive client closet. Isn’t it stunning?! It was a perfect, sunny day. We had beautiful natural light and Lanie was happy and full of energy. She wanted to be on the move or be tossed around so we followed her lead to get those smiles.
Lanie loved the cake smash. The cake was from Amanda’s Cakery Bakery. Lanie loved grabbing handfuls of cake and throwing it in the air. Some of my favorite photos from the session were when she would do her biggest cheese smile! You’ll have to keep scrolling to see!
Planning Process
My one year sessions take about an hour and a half if you want to include a cake smash. A month before the session, we’ll schedule your planning appointment and discuss all of the details, cake design, etc. No need to worry about the cake, because I’ll provide that! We’ll discuss wardrobe for mom and kids and I can give you wardrobe guidance for dad too! Sessions can take place at my studio or at an outdoor location. Typically, I prefer to do one year sessions are 9-10am, because I find that’s when baby is the happiest!
I adore my job and love being a Brandon family photographer. I also had the opportunity to photograph Lanie’s newborn session as well and it’s always so much fun to watch my families grow.
