As a Madison maternity photographer, I will guide you every step for your maternity session. From wardrobe planning to location selection to artwork planning, I’ve got you! It’s such an exciting time when expecting a baby and with that all the things come from showers to preparing the nursery. The last thing I want for you is to stress about documenting this time. I offer maternity sessions as a single session or a part of the milestone membership. You can find more details as to which one fits best for you here.
I will guide you through wardrobe planning first. The Blaire Family chose to do a mix of the client closet and her own closet. The white lace dress is the dress you will find in my complimentary client closet. I have curated the client closet with beautiful, timeless dresses that I know will photograph well. For the hubbies, they typically have something in their own closet that will compliment momma so I will help guide you in outfits for your man as I do not have clothes for men in my client closet at this time.
Next is to decide location. I offer studio maternity sessions as well as outdoors like the Blaire Maternity Session. This session took place at the The Town of Livingston. This is one of my favorite locations due to the variety we can capture at your session as well as the lighting is gorgeous!! Maternity sessions outdoors are done around two hours prior to sunset to give us plenty of beautiful light for that bright, airy, and timeless feel for your images. Other locations I like to use are the front of Reunion in Madison, the Information Cabin on the Natchez Trace, and the Flowood Nature Park.
Session Day you have the option of adding hair and makeup prior to our session time. April Epps is amazing at creating that natural beauty but giving a little more pop to the images than ever day life makeup. She knows what looks great behind the lens but is not too much. April did the makeup for momma in this maternity session and you can also check out her work here. I will guide your through the session so you do not have to worry about where do I look? Where do I put my hands? etc. I aim to keep the session light and easy!
When your gallery is ready, we will set up a time to view your images! I will show you a slideshow and then we get to decide how to save your memories. Will you be the family with a library of albums? Will you be the family with a gallery wall to admire everyday? These are questions to ask yourself as you dream up what you want to do with your images. I take the design guesswork out of it. I can design the album and wall galleries to show you a mock up to make sure every detail is perfection before ordering. Do I provide digitals? Absolutely! You will also receive a glass box with 50 of your favorite proofs when you invest in your digitals.
